Avalanche Mountain Ring with Moss Agate & Sapphire Band

"Oh, say can you see..." These mountains were inspired in part by a series of heavily textured oil paintings that captivated me. I wanted to capture the dramatic knife-edge detail and movement of the paint strokes in precious metal, creating a mountain landscape rich with texture and depth.

As I worked on the design, the moss agate gemstone nestled at the base of the mountains began to feel symbolic of an avalanche flowing through the landscape, inspiring the name Avalanche.

The mountain ring features a beautiful moss agate gemstone set beneath the textured mountain range. The coordinating band is accented with ten natural sapphires in varying shades of green and lavender. Each sapphire is individually pavé-set by hand into the metal, creating a subtle sparkle reminiscent of wildflowers scattered across an alpine landscape.

This ring was originally hand-sculpted in wax, then cast from the original mold and meticulously hand-finished through a multi-step polishing process to bring out every detail. Every piece is made with care in my USA studio.
